yeah trade their best player on offense and keep the fourth best player on the offense because of two years in difference when the fourth best player wants WR1 money.
Kittles and Deebo make the offense run at the moment and allows CMC to hit those holes untouched... Aiyuk is a very good player, but he hasn't elevated the offense consistently.

Pearsall might be a better fit

Not surprised that ESPN is belittling Pearsall.

I'm in this camp too. Interested to see how the 49ers' WR situation shakes out though

Also worth noting Pearsall has yet to sign his rookie contract with the 49ers: https://atozsports.com/san-francisco/49ers-first-round-pick-ricky-pearsall-rookie-contract/

In reality it’s Darius Robinson and it’s frankly not even close. If 49ers don’t take him he’s going in the next 10-15 picks at worst

I don't think they are belittling him.

I think guy is saying SF just made a bad pick at 1st based off of needs. Not necessarily saying Pearsall wasn't worth a 1st round pick but reaching for a WR while they already had good depth at while having needs on the DL. Not that Pearsall didn't deserve to go 1

They knew they were going to ditch a WR. Thus the pick.

They are about to trade away Ayiuk and Deebo is a terrible receiver who will soon be a cap casualty lol. Ricky will be a star for them in year 1

Ricky is exactly what they want. A wr that has great short area and short route ability. He’s gonna look good a while, idk about ever being a pro bowler good. Niners reached but may not matter in the long haul.

What about the UGA OT that started only 8 games in college, and was drafted before Rickey? Even Nick Satan couldn't hold back from questioning the pick.

Look, I already said I disagree with this take. But following what analysts at a major network say – good and bad – is relevant here. if you don't want to read someone's takes you disagree with, no problem with that whatsoever. just read the good news that's totally fine

Wut? Aiyuk was their leading receiver last year, with 400+ yards more than Samuel. Samuel is a short catch, YAC guy, but he wasn't as effective last year, and he is only getting older with more miles. They have a better YAC guy in CMC.

Aiyuk is a more complete receiver, and he compliments that offense more than Samuel.

how do I benefit from clicks my man? the one thing I appreciate from posting this is having a discussion over how we see Ricky's rookie season playing out, and the consensus seems to be this analyst is wrong and Pearsall was a worthy pick at No. 31. hope you have a nice day!
