cently by deputies assigned to the Southern Divi sion office of the Beaufort County De partment: Thomas Robert Bourgault 34 of Keystone Heights la was arrested Oct 6 at Hilton Head Hospital and charged with public disor derly conduct and simple possession of marijua na Bourgault was released from the Beaufort County Jail after posting a 1336 bond George Manjounes 53 of 55 Wood Duck was arrested at his residence Oct 5 on a war rant charging him with fraudulent check Man jounes was released from jail on his own recogni zance on a $1000 bond Carl Ray Nettles 41 of SC 46 was ar rested Oct 6 following an incident on Palmetto Bluff Road and charged with simple assault and battery Nettles was released from jail on his own recognizance on a $218 bond Richard Baker 46 of Buck Island Road was arrested Oct 6 and charged with breach of peace following a domestic incident Baker was in jail Wednesday on a $218 bond Three employees of Seafood Restaurant in Palmetto Dunes Resort were ar rested Oct 4 and charged with grand larceny in connection with $367 worth of consumer goods and other items valued at $30 allegedly taken from the restaurant and recovered following a traffic stop Alberto Garcia 24 listed as Alber to Garcia ajardo on the jail log Melba Gari 27 listed as Melba Gardy 27 and Luis Alberto Mar tinez 31 all of 2 Bull Creek Marina were charged with grand larceny ajardo and Mar tinez were released from jail after posting $500 bonds each Ms Gardy was released on her own recognizance on a $500 bond Law Enforcement The foliowing incident reports were filed re cently with the Southern Division office of the Beaufort County Department: Peter Turcotte whose wife works as a bar tender for Daddy of Pope Avenue re ported an unknown suspect with a pistol at tempted to rob the store early Oct 7 by making them go back inside but fled when Turcotte said the door locked automatically when closed and they did not have a key A man identified as red Phillips reported Oct 6 that his daughter Patricia Long 34 of 210 Harbor Island rogmore a teacher at St Helena Elementary School is missing pos sibly since Oct 1 No further details were available Wednesday A spokesman for St Helena Elementary School would only confirm that Ms Long a compensatory reading teacher for grades four five and six was not in school Wednesday Also reported stolen recently was a radar detector Termites threaten city hall ESCONDIDO Calif (AP) The termite problem at City Hall here is record shattering City clerks say hundreds of the pesty insects are eating their way through boxes of stored papers The clerks say they plan to call an exterminator this week They fear that termites in the 49 year old building will not only eat up the past of this northern San Diego County pounds it could be 1200 but less than it was two weeks ago Walter Hudson is on a diet and already four inches thinner at the knees Hudson 42 is so wide he go from one room to another He is far heavier than the heaviest man listed in the Guinness Book of World Re cords who is less than 900 pounds But his bizarre plight came to light only recently when he became stuck in his bedroom doorway and had to be rescued by police fire and medi cal workers His plight won wide attention and he received calls from exercise ex pert Richard Simmons Overeaters Anonymous and Dick Gregory the one time comedian who runs a weight loss clinic in the Bahamas Hudson estimated his own weight at 1200 pounds He was last weighed on a scale that only went up to 1000 pounds He said he used to eat Thanksgiving sized meals daily and would have three or four ham steaks and six large bottles of soda for breakfast or lunch Gregory has taken on Hudson and hopes to get him to lose enough in th ree months that he can be
