Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort: A Complete Guide (2024)

Your comprehensive guide to Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort, including room types, amenities, and more.

Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort represents the most luxurious accommodations inside the Disney Bubble. Find this sprawling, 26.5-acre resort inside the gated Golden Oak community, just north of Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside.

I recently spent a night at this ultra-luxury resort, soaking in the views, enjoying the fine dining, and floating down the lazy river co*cktail in hand. If you’ve got the time (and budget) during your Walt Disney World vacation to escape the parks and crowds for a few days and relax in pure luxury, I highly recommend the Four Seasons Resort Orlando. Below you’ll find a complete guide to the resort, as well as our official Four Seasons Resort Orlando review.

About Four Seasons Resort Orlando

Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort opened in August 2014. The sprawling resort has 443 rooms in total — 375 guest rooms and 68 suites — across 17 stories. The resort takes design inspiration from lakeside Spanish Revival architecture.

Outside, the grounds of the resort are stunning, with 114 different plant specials and patrolling Harris’ hawks that keep unwanted visitors (like adorable Disney ducks) from entering one of the resort’s five pool areas (or the stunning reflection pool).

Four Seasons Resort Orlando is known for its commitment to sustainability: It has a robust recycling program, participates in Clean the World, uses water-efficient landscaping, offers electric car charging on site, and even donates retired linens to the Orlando Pet Alliance. The private Tranquilo Golf Course is a certified Audubuon sanctuary for Florida wildlife.

The resort is known for its plethora of fine dining options and various activities every day, but it’s not all just for play. Four Seasons Resort Orlando offers two massive ballrooms for meetings and banquets.

During my stay, I booked a Park View Suite. From my sixth-floor balcony, I had stunning views of the resort grounds, the Florida wilderness that lay before me, and fireworks at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. From my room, I was not able to see the park icons themselves, but I also toured a Park View Deluxe Suite a few floors higher, and from there, I could see Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Bay Lake Tower (with Cinderella Castle in between), the Hollywood Tower Hotel, Spaceship Earth at EPCOT, and the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin.

Here’s just a peek at the amenities you’ll experience inside a Park View Suite:

  • A massive living space with a flat-screen TV and Bose bluetooth speaker
  • A queen-sized sleeper sofa that staff will be happy to make up for you
  • A mini fridge stocked with cartons of spring water
  • A separate bedroom with a king-size bed and its own thermostat
  • Two full baths with walk-in shower
  • A primary bathroom with a massive tub and a TV in the mirror
  • A long terrace with two entry points offering stunning views out and below

During my time in the suite, I got lots of work done out on the terrace, enjoying the tranquility of the water feature on the private lake and a nice breeze as I sat at the table outside. I also soaked in the tub, enjoyed the complimentary robe and slippers, and ordered room service.

Restaurants at Four Seasons Resort Orlando

The views from my room (and the Park View Deluxe Suite I toured) were breathtaking, but nothing could have prepared me for the views from Four Season Resort Orlando’s 17th-floor Michelin-starred restaurant, Capa. From the outdoor terrace, co*cktail in hand, we were able to watch both fireworks shows, then return to our amazing meal.

Capa is the best dining experience at Walt Disney World Resort. Chef Malyna Si has carefully crafted this Spanish-inspired tapas and steakhouse menu after her time traveling Spain. A highlight on the menu includes the Pulpo a la Gallega (octopus), which Chef Malyna spent a lot of time perfecting after discovering that many restaurants don’t do a good job of bringing out the flavors of the octopus. We also tried Foie Gras (duck liver cooked in its own fat), which may be the best thing I’ve ever eaten.

For a full look at what we ate and drank at the steakhouse (and what this amazing restaurant interior — and its terrace — are like), check out my full review of Capa, and read our exclusive interview with the chef in our September 2024 issue of WDW Magazine by becoming a subscriber.

Capa was just the start of my dining adventures at the Four Seasons Resort Orlando. I also had a delicious breakfast (Belgian waffle with mixed berries, coffee, and an energizing smoothie) at Ravello and co*cktail service from PB&G.

Here’s a full look at the dining options at Four Seasons Resort Orlando:

  • Capa: 17th-floor rooftop steakhouse and bar, with live music on select nights
  • Ravello: Italian restaurant for breakfast and dinner, with character breakfasts on select mornings
  • PB&G: Restaurant on the water, ideal for drinks, snacks, and lunch during a pool day
  • The Lobby Bar: For a drink after a long day at the parks (or in meetings) — or to grab an aperitif before dinner
  • Plancha: Cuban-inspired dishes, set by the golf course
  • Lickety Split: A cafe for when you’re on the go (with delicious gelato)

And don’t forget: You can also order in-room dining for those mornings you don’t want to leave your bed or those evenings you can’t pull yourself from the view from the private terrace.

Amenities and Activities at Four Seasons Resort Orlando

Four Seasons Resort Orlando is conveniently located on Walt Disney World Property — but you could spend multiple days at the resort without ever missing the parks. Here’s just a taste of what you’ll experience at Four Seasons Resort Orlando:

Pools

Stormalong Bay may be the resort pool that most Disney fans dream of, but that’s probably because they’re not aware of the massive pool complex at Four Seasons Resort Orlando.

The swimming areas include:

  • The adults-only Oasis Pool
  • The 7,590-square-foot Family Pool
  • The kid-friendly Splash Zone
  • The lazy river
  • Two waterslides

I spent a lot of time at the adults-only pool, with an infinity edge overlooking the resort’s signature lake. Here, you can order co*cktail service, enjoy complimentary towels and chair covers, choose from two SPF options for the self-serve sunscreen, and relax in the only hot tub on the property where kids are not able to join. This was, without a doubt, the quietest public space I’ve ever been on Walt Disney World Property.

The other pools are great as well. The Family Pool is massive, with volleyball nets and private cabanas available for rent. It’s also near The Mansion, where kids and adults can play games like pool, cornhole, bocce ball, and foosball. The lazy river is family-friendly; floating down the river with a co*cktail in hand was a highlight of my stay.

The 5-acre Explorer Island water park also includes a climbing wall, a video game center, basketball courts, and outdoor movie nights. As part of the Kids for All Seasons programming, kids can even participate in special activities every day.

Golf and Tennis

Walt Disney World has four dedicated golf courses, which you can learn more about in our March 2024 issue of WDW Magazine. But when you stay at Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort, you have access to a fifth golf course, much more exclusive than the rest: the Tranquilo Golf Course at Four Seasons Resort Orlando.

The 18-hole course — a par 71 — is set among Florida’s wetlands, where you can spot osprey, turtles, wild turkeys, and more native wildlife. This certified sanctuary is also surrounded by southern live oaks in Spanish moss.

In addition to the golf course, you’ll find a driving range and putting green. You can sign up for golf instructions, rent clubs on site, and browse the pro shop before or after your round. Four Seasons Resort Orlando also has three Har-Tru tennis courts and offers private tennis lessons.

Spa and Salon

The Four Seasons Resort Orlando has an expansive spa with 18 treatment rooms and private men’s and women’s outdoor lounges. Book a wide range of treatment options, including the rejuvenating oxygen facial and the La Floridian body treatment.

You can also enjoy the salon, with special hair and nail care. Before or after your treatment, you can also do some shopping on-site at one of two boutiques: Fable (for kids) and Wardrobe (for adults).

Fitness Center

Four Seasons Resort Orlando offers ample ways to keep active during your vacation. In the sprawling fitness center, you’ll find multiple options for cardio and strength training, as well as basketball and sand volleyball courts. Book time with a personal trainer, or take one of the fitness classes offered throughout the week, including:

  • Resistance Band Yoga
  • Yin Yoga
  • Power Stride & Strength
  • Total Body Sculpt
  • Yoga Flow
  • Restorative Yoga
  • Core Work & Flexibility
  • Power Body Yoga
  • Deep Vinyasa Flower
  • Fresh Air Fitness
  • Classic Rock Spin

Four Seasons Resort Orlando Review

Four Seasons Resort Orlando hosted me for a one-night stay in the Park View Suite in preparation for an upcoming article in our print magazine about views from the resort. Here’s what I thought of my stay:

Four Seasons Resort Orlando represents the height of luxury on Walt Disney World Property. It offers an escape from your escape: When park crowds and the hot sun are too much, escape to this luxurious retreat to enjoy the finest dining and most relaxing poolside experience in Orlando.

The stunning architecture and landscape of the resort transport you far from the world of Disney to a tranquil oasis, with easy access to fine dining and plenty of entertainment. I enjoyed looking for hidden Mickeys throughout the resort, but you’ll have to look carefully — this isn’t an in-your-face Disney experience. (Though you can meet Goofy & Friends during a character breakfast at Ravello.)

Four Seasons Resort Orlando is too expensive for my blood — and probably most Disney guests. My room was more than $5,000 a night, and I certainly couldn’t afford to travel that way on my own. But for families with a larger vacation budget, who yearn for relaxation on the golf course or tennis court, a day at the spa, or a meal unlike no other at the rooftop steakhouse, Four Seasons Resort Orlando may be worth the splurge.

While Four Seasons Resort Orlando hosted me for a stay, the views and opinions expressed in this review are my own.
